Psalm 18:28 KJV

“For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness”

Proverbs 20:27 KJV

“The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD”

Proverbs 24:20 KJV “For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out”

2 Corinthians 4:6 KJV   “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

We will write down 4 definitions: 

1. Edify To edify (to build) we are building on the foundation of Jesus Christ (something up) He is our  “chief” cornerstone? Ephesians 2:20

So we are edifying and strengthening the body of Christ (boc) by Jesus Christ  

2. Holding forth Holding forth recite, repeat, talk about, explain (with words); to inspire; give life; To speak and utter.

The scriptures say in 2 Timothy 3:15 KJV  the  words of God give life (inspire)  breathes life  into us. The Scriptures also say the word of God(quickens) Romans 8:11 KJV to make alive; we were crucified with Christ

 3. The bible in  1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV tells us “we are not our “own” once we are saved. Is the life you live just for yourself/selfish serving your belly and the devil?

4. Beloved  Are you  apart of God’s mission & his plan to see all men saved and come to the knowledge of truth? 

Genesis 1:1-3 KJV God spoke let there be light in the beginning of creation and  the Spirit of God moved when God created the heaven and earth.

Genesis 1:1-3 KJV “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”

4. Beloved (that is a family) The body of Christ is a family.

Do you realize now this light shines in the heart and mind of “BELIEVER” (we are the boc)?

Children of Light

We are now his children of light. Light brings (life) God needs  his body to shine as children of light and to “hold forth” the words of life

Is your candle lit?

Has God shined his light in your heart?

Have you been accepted in the beloved (family)? Ephesians 1:6 KJV

Do you have God’s Spirit in you?   Has the Spirit moved in you?

Labour/ Work

God has a work (labour) for us to do as “servants of righteousness” and it’s not to hard when we have his power inside us ;

What is the power? The Holy Spirit is the power.

What  are you building with when God has given us a treasure in these earthen vessels ?

Gold, silver, and precious stones

1 Corinthians 3:12 KJV “Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;”

Are you building a shack?

When God has given you a treasure (his treasue is he has given the body of Christ His power and Holy Spirit to build and edify.

We are not building a shack with wood, hay, and stubble; God has given us a work to do and He has given us a treasure to do it. He has given us His Spirit to build the body of Christ. We have the power to do it when our candle has been lit by Him.

The Excellency of this power is for his Glory so no man will boast.

The candle is lit for God’s glory to shine; the GLORY OF GOD.

2 Corinthians 4:7 KJV But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Our work and labor is the to build the body of Christ and edify the body of Christ with gold, silver, and precious stones.  We are suppose to be shining as lights in a dark world.  We are ambassadors for anyone that wants to know more about God.  They come to us and we are suppose to “hold forth” the words of God to a lost world and build up each other who are already “accepted in the beloved”

Philippians 2:16 KJV  “holding forth the (WORD] word of [Life] life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.”

When we see the word labor, workmen, stewards, servants, etc in Scriptures, we should start thinking about our work as members of the body of Christ.

 How are we saved?  

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest (unless) any man should boast.”

NOTE THE NIV SAYS  The person WILL BOAST

The NIV is a corrupted bible when comparing it to the Authorized King James bible written over 400+ years ago;

The NIV corrupts God’s word and twisted it like satan twisted God’s word  in the garden with Adam and Eve; The NIV has given half truths and lies.

The King James bible states we are saved by grace so no man will boast; it;s for the “excellency of Christ:

We as the body of Christ can discern (judge) the “Spirtual” things but the simple and unsaved person can not judge how these Scriptures are different.   

God told the children of Israel “my sheep hear my voice” because the believing Jews are decribed as “sheep” /”the little “flock” in the Old Testament; including the Old Testament of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John;   

The sheep/ the little flock/ the remnant will go thru the valley of the shadow of death (the tribulation) and not get burned.  

Isaiah 43:2 “When thou passest through the waters (sheep) , I will be with thee; and through the rivers (sheep) , they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire (the remnant jew going thru the tribulation and fire), thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

NOTE, the body of christ will not go thru the valley of the “shadow of death”. The body of Christ do not go thru the tribulation; we do not go thru “fire” ; the body of Christ (boc)  will meet the Lord in the Air, we have salvation now, we do not have an appointed time to face wrath (tribulation/fire)

1 Thessalonnians 5:9 KJV “For God hath not appointed us to wrath but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalm 23 KJV is a book of future prophecy about the believing Jews; his sheep hear his voice.

The body of Christ are not described as sheep but we are described as a “body” “members” bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh;  a family; the beloved; we are the “body of Christ” with a Head (authority) in Heaven.

Today (but now) God is moving in the Spirit and He tells us that we can judge (discern) between evil and good. We are not “simple” (sheep). We have ALL wisdom through ALL Scriptures which are able to make us wise.

ALL WISDOM

1 Corinthisan 2:7 & Ephesians 1:8 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:  

Ephesians 1:8 KJV Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

Can you discern the diference between how these Scriptures are written in the King James bible  and how they are written in the NiV bible?

Also, How can anyone literrally think they are going to boast when they stand before God; their creator who did it all at the cross?  If the world has a problem, our God will solve the problem. God does not need for any person to boast that they solved the problems in the world. God created heaven and earth and He alone will fix the problem. He will solve the problems through HIS POWER; the RESURRECTION POWER OF THE CROSS; IT IS A MYSTERY (SO STOP TRYING TO PROPHESY.

DO YOU THINK BECAUSE YOU KNOW JESUS NAME, YOU ARE GETTING INTO THE FAMILY?

DO YOU THINK BECAUSE YOU PROPHECY IN HIS NAME, YOU CANDLE HAS BEEN LIT BY GOD

YOU MIGHT BE LIGHTING YOUR OWN CANDLE?

²¹Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven

WHO LIT THESE PEOPLE CANDLE ?

Matthew 7: 21-23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? ²³And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 

The audacity to boast in the presence of our God and Saviour even sounds evil to the ears of the belivers. 

The Scriptures tell us over and over again that God  (not man) did it all the work and finished the work. God  “performs the work” God did all the work and we walk in it and we put it on but the “power” comes from God (Holy Spirit);   We will not be “boasting”

We will be thanking God for his works (not our works); We will not be boasting as the NIV states when we stand before God in his prescence.  God will be judging us on what sort of work we did and how did we let HIS  HOlY Spirit work through us; HIS POWER works in us that believe and trust the “finished’ work of the cross.  

The NIV translated the Scripture different from the King James bible ; theses are lies and doctrines of devils. The simple are seduced by lies.  

1 Timothy 4:1

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils”

What is our Labor & Work

Stand on Truth (not lies)

9.We are “stewards” (add to list from last week) Steward /Servants of jesus Christ; we are his “workmen” 2 timothy 2:15 ;

We are stewards of the (MYSTERIES). As Stewards of the mystery,  we protect God’s words. Stewards of the mysteries (our work and labour) is proclaiming truth. 

10. We are all Ministers of Christ once we become saved.

Gal 3:28 KJV 

“There is no male or female in the body of Christ; we are all ONE family) There is no male nor female”

1 Corinthians 4:1 KJV “Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.”

When did the law end for us who are saved believers?   When God gave us his Holy Spirit & put his spirit inside us (the believer)

The Law also ended when God revealed the mystery to the Apostle Paul that we are now saved by grace. The Law ended when Jesus dispensed “grace” after the cross to the Aposte Paul in Acts 9.  The mystery of the cross is found in Paul’s 13 epistles from Romans to Philemon.  God eradicated “religion”

Who is the law made for? The law was always made for sinners.  The body of Christ is not “UNDER” the authority of the law. Galatians 5:18 KJV 

We get our instructions from the Spirit . 

Galatians 5:18 KJV  “But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye [are not] under the law.”  The law is made for the sinner. The law are for those people who do not know how to subject themselves to a higher power; they do not “obey” the law of “RIGHTEOUSNESS;they are unrighteous. 

The law is for sinners; those who break the law; 

In the future, The Jews will have the laws written in their hearts and mind helping them to obey the law. This is the New Testament.  This has not happened yet. The Jews are fallen and blind (in part) Some believe and some are unbelievers) The entire Jewish nation is fallen. 

However, the saved beliving Jew will have God’s Holy Spirit inside them (heart & mind); God will write it in their hearts and minds.   

We the [body of Christ] also already have the Holy Spirit inside us but the believing little flock are waiting for their salvation to come when God meet them on the earth.  God will meet us in the “air” Psalm 53:6 1 Peter 1:10 Hebrews 4:16 The believing Jews/ the remnant are waiting for their salvation (the New Testament) because this  nation crucified their King, but the body of Christ has salvation now (right now) ; They are waiting to obtain mercy and grace to help in time of need (tribulation) ; They will need the law written in the hearts and mind to go through the fire (the tribulation) and not get burned. 

Hebrews 4:27 (a HEBREW book about a HEBREW people) the children of Israel, the little flock,  the  “believing” Jew.

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Currently, in this dispensation of God’s grace….THE SINNER DOES NOT HAVE GOD’s Holy Spirit inside them.

The sinner  like “unrighteousness” ; the sinner like his sins and will not “repent”; The sinner is not aware he is bowing down to the devil. He worships the devil. 

Galatians 5:18 KJV  “But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.” The law is for sinners; those who break the law;

The Scriptures tell us we (the boc) are not under the Law because “led by the spirit) 

Galatians 5:18 KJVV the “commandments” & laws ended with charity. The power of God to put his Spirit inside of us came by the cross.    (good heart and good conscious is that new inner man/ the resurrecte new man; the old man was crucified and God quickened the believer; made us alive) We have a new heart and mind is that “new man”.

When Jesus died on the cross and was able to resurrect a new person inside of  us) and now God can put his holy spirit  inside of us.  When God look at us, he does not look at our old crucified man but he looks at us as a new person with a new spirit.  Also, he gave us his Spirit (the Holy Spirit to fellowship with him) Christ in you the hope of glory .

Who is the Law & Commandments made for?

When did the Commandments & Law end?

(When th Revelation of the Mystery was revealed to the Apostle Paul)

1 Timothy 1 : 5 – 9 KJV “Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: from which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

Our pattern to eternal life is written according to the mystery in Paul’s 13 epistles; Paul is our pattern to salvation.  We are saved by grace, not works; not laws; not commandments (Jesus eradicated  all religions)

Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first (apostle Paul), Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
